Prayer Leaders Wanted
Posted Jan 26, 04:40 PMLiturgy of the Word with Children is a worship experience mirroring the worship experience of the larger community with a style that is engaging and interactive.
Prayer Leaders provide the children with a foundation for understanding and appreciating Scripture. The children gather to hear the Scriptures in words they understand and share their own understanding of God’s word. This weekly interaction enhances the faith formation of the children in their homes.
Can you help children experience the liturgy the way the first Christians did? Can you help them know in their minds, feel in their hearts, and experience in their bodies the reality that each Eucharistic celebration is a potentially life-changing encounter with Christ?
Trainings are scheduled on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 pm with the next two scheduled on February 1st and March 1st in the Matthew classroom in the church building. There is a particular need for more Prayer Leaders at the 10:30am Mass time with the growing numbers of children in attendance.
Prayer Leader preferences for Mass times and grade levels are considered.
Prayer leader materials are provided.
Prayer Leader commitment is approximately once each month during the school year.
Consider training to be a Prayer Leader for Liturgy of the Word with Children … a very important ministry for the children of St. Patrick’s.
