Phoenix Refugee Resettling 101
Posted Nov 9, 11:29 AM
War, prejudice, and persecution are sadly the reality of many of our brothers and sisters in Christ around the world. If this was your reality, how could you get past the despair to see the hope?
Forced to flee their homes and all they know, they spend years in refugee camps before they come to the U.S. Without many belongings and with little hope, they end up here in Phoenix.
Over 3,000 refugees were resettled in Arizona in the 2010 fiscal year. TONIGHT parishioners will have the opportunity to learn about this growing community, what countries they are coming from, and why they are in dire need of support.
Come to Refugee Education 101 Tues. Nov. 9th at 6:30pm in the Administration Building.
Hope and support can be given and shared by US, God’s people!
Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
