The Lifeteen group from St. Patrick’s was incredible during our trip to the NPH orphanage in Miacatlan, Mexico!!! What wonderful examples of being light to others. Thanks for a life-changing experience.

Led by Deacon Jim Hoyt, of Friends of the Orphans, our group of 67 teens and adults stayed at Casa San Salvador for our weeklong mission trip. The St. Patrick’s Lifeteen group was joined by teen groups from St. Paul’s in Phoenix and St. Isidore’s in Danville, CA.

The Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos (NPH) children come together as family and are housed, fed, clothed and EDUCATED to the highest degree they can achieve…even through university. After high school they give back with a year of service at their home. If able to move on to college they give two years of service prior to entering university. It’s worked for 55 years and continues to transform lives for the little ones and their sponsors forever.

It’s difficult to express the emotions that flow during a trip like this. The beautiful simplicity of life and what matters most is vividly seen and shared. My heart has expanded more than I could’ve imagined.

More than 650 children live at this home.
