Men's Club Members along with Parishioner Volunteers Feed the Homeless

Posted Nov 13, 11:22 AM

On Friday, October 29th, an assembly of fifty-seven Men’s Club members and volunteers fire up the BBQ providing food and refreshment for 720 people in need at St. Joseph the Worker/Lodestar Day Resource Center in downtown Phoenix.

Then on Wednesday, November 10th many of the same Men’s Club members and volunteers fire up the BBQ again providing food along with some ‘great’ entertainment from The Great Pretenders to honor veterans and many others at The Justa Center in downtown Phoenix.

The meals were greatly appreciated and enjoyed by those at each facility plus all enjoyed the celebrations being near Halloween and Veteran’s Day which highlighted the two events.

Tons of great pictures were taken by two super parish volunteer photographers Mary Juckniess and Dan McCabe. Not only did they capture the events in pictures, they both participated in the preparation before, during and after each event!

Many thanks for the outstanding outreach by the Men’s Club members, parish volunteers and our two great photographers.

See both photo albums in our photo gallery HERE

P.S. Also while you are in the photo gallery, take a look at the photos from our Veteran’s Day Scripture Service in Fenlon Hospitality Center. Those photos were taken by Dan McCabe too.
