Church Tour for Sacrament Candidates
Posted Nov 22, 08:04 PMOn Saturday morning approximately 150 adults and children gathered for an in depth tour of St. Patrick. Everyone had a behind the scenes look at some areas of our holy grounds that they may never get to see again. The tour began in the Daily Mass Chapel. Next we took an outside look at the statues, brick work, and the Stations of the Cross. Our entrance doors and gathering area led us all into the sanctuary where we visited the Baptismal Font, the Reconciliation Chapels, the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, and the Altar.
Many adults commented that they had no idea about some of the things they learned that morning. It was worth getting up early on a Saturday morning to witness all of these beautiful areas. The children said very simply…thank you.
Everyone was amazed to see what a busy community we are at St. Pat’s as the Sanctuary was being prepared for the Feast of Christ the King with white draperies and for an afternoon wedding. The Daily Mass Chapel was being prepared for a memorial service that morning.
If you missed this one, the next scheduled church tour will be on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 9:00 am. Hope to see you then.
