Preparation for First Eucharist
Children in grade 3 who prepared for Reconciliation in grade 2 and are registered in Christian Formation are eligible to begin to prepare for First Eucharist (Communion). Preparation for First Eucharist begins with parent orientation meetings.

As with Reconciliation, preparation for Communion takes place in the individual homes or in clusters of four or five families. There are two prayer services for the families at church and a mini-retreat for the children at church.

We Are Family
This is a new family-based preparation process for children in grades 3 through 5. A team of facilitators works in a family setting with children who are baptized Roman Catholics and need to prepare for First Communion but who have no formal preparation.
